John Thomas Dooley

John was born in Los Angeles in 1955.

In his early years, John could be found playing music and immersed in the operations and production side of the recording studio. From Carabao to Van Halen, John's had the opportunity of working in the studio and sharing the stage with some really talented individuals. 

John's "day job" climb has taken him up the rungs of the company leadership ladder to the position of Director of Recruiting and Training for Omni Computer Products, a large computer peripherals manufacturer in Los Angeles.  John is a seasoned team leader with a successful history, in addition to his position as Director of Recruiting and Training, as Sales Manager, Tele-sales Trainer and Computer Software Application Training and Development Manager. 

He moved to Thailand in 2000 where he began developing his extensive network including professional relationships with several top Thai Universities.  He worked as Business Development Manager for Grant Thornton Executive Recruitment and after two years decided that Instead of hunting for job candidates outside the client's organizations, he would rather focus on the assessment and development of language and leadership skills within existing staff.

John's experience in identifying and assessing potential candidates for jobs where leadership and management skills are required, plus 10+ years of classroom and curriculum development here in Thailand, as well as his role in the US as Director of Recruiting and Training, allows him to tailor training needs based on a broader set of client requirements.

John currently teaches at Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University. 

John had years of business experience in computer software training in America before coming to Thailand and shifting to TEFL. He has taught at several Thai universities as well as the National Economic and Social Advisory Council (NESAC).

John also worked as a TEFL Instructor for the condensed, 72 hour course at The TEFL Institute in Bangkok. In addition, he conducted seminars for Thai vocational college English teachers where he created intermediate and advanced level curriculum designed to incorporate new teaching techniques into the standard Thai college level English classroom.

John's attitude of tenacious commitment enables him to succeed in whatever endeavor he pursues.

So when he's not entertaining, you'll find John in a classroom, coaching and offering guidance and support as a participant in the process of leadership development.
